The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Review – Chaos in the Court

My experience with the Ace Attorney franchise covers the original trilogy of games. I own the other 3ds games, but I haven’t had the chance to play them. But this duology of games intrigued me. Set in the Meiji era/Victorian period, it follows a different set of characters, and takes inspiration from Sherlock Holmes. I found the game on sale for 20 bucks, so I decided to give it a try. I’m sure glad I did, because it was a delight.

When the first Somnium Files game came out, I was blown away by how well written the story was. It took what I loved about Uchikoshi’s Zero Escape series, but gave it a heart that made it stand out amongst my favorite stories. So I had high expectations for the sequel game. But did it meet them?
