Final Fantasy VII Remake Review – My Breakout Final Fantasy

It’s hard to consider myself a Final Fantasy fan. My first experience with the series was buying Final Fantasy XIII-2 as a kid and having no idea what was going on, because it was a sequel. I never beat it. I’ve tried other games. I initially dropped FFX on the PS Vita. I picked it up a few years later with the PS4 remaster and though it was okay. I played FF7 next, and also thought it was alright. But the older style of gameplay was hard to get used to. I simply couldn’t become a fan of this franchise. Fire Emblem: Engage Review – Will I Ever Vibe With This Franchise?

Fire Emblem is a series I’ve always had a hard time getting into. I played Awakening and it was alright. I didn’t like Fates. I dropped Sacred Stones because it was too hard without casual mode. I only got one ending in Three Houses; because while the story was great, the game was a slog to get through. I own Shadows of Valentia, but haven’t started it. Continue reading
